Beatson Company Limited was established to provide a steady, experienced hand when organisations face significant pressure points. After a career serving as a senior leader across New Zealand’s finance, economic, and natural resources sectors, including key roles at the New Zealand Institute of Directors, Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry for the Environment, and the Ministry of Economic Development, I saw a distinct need for independent, strategic "nous." I founded this business to help bridge critical capability gaps that can stall public and private-sector organisations, bringing high-quality policy analysis, financial management expertise, and governance advice directly to board and executive tables.

My professional journey has been defined by navigating complex, often highly scrutinised environments. Over the years, I have successfully partnered with senior board members, senior executives and worked with government ministers to drive meaningful, system-level change. From leading local government legislative reform and resource management initiatives in New Zealand to developing new public sector operating models in Mongolia and across the Asia-Pacific, my focus has always been on turning intricate challenges into clear, actionable outcomes.
